1.Thermowell Temperature Thermocouple:
Thermocouple (or RTD) probe is enclosed in a thermowell, which shields it from process elements including fluid flow rates and caustic or deteriorating chemicals. The integrity of pressure boundaries in systems is also preserved by thermowells. Thermowells are employed to protect temperature sensors from harm from excessive pressure, material velocity, and corrosion. These sensors include thermocouples, thermistors, and bimetal thermometers. Additionally, they extend the sensors life, enable sensor replacement without emptying the system, and lower the risk of contamination. In order to assure integrity, thermowells made for high pressure applications are normally machined from bar stock. Tubing with one end welded closed can be used to make smaller thermowells for usage in low pressure settings.
